Making his promotional rounds yesterday, during an interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez Kanye West reveals what he really thinks of rapper Nicki Minaj. He stated,
This is such a big statement and such a big thing to fill but I think the scariest artist in the game right now is definitely Nicki Minaj and I think she has the most potential out of everyone to be the Number 2 rapper of all time. Because nobody’s gonna be bigger than Eminem. Eminem is the #1 Rapper of all time.

In my opinion Nicki has yet to prove her iconic status. I’m coming to the conclusion that an artist’s success rate and impact on the industry has little to do with their actual skill or talent but has more to do with how marketable and profitable their brand can become. I’ve always thought this but even more so with time and changes the industry have gone through in the last decade.
