Kobe Bryant’s Wife, Vanessa Bryant, Files For Divorce!

LA Lakers star athlete, Kobe Bryant‘s wife, Vanessa Bryant, has filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage. The papers, filed Friday afternoon, cites “irreconcilable differences”.

What’s even more shocking, the couple do not have a pre-nup! Which means, under California law she can get half of everything!

Sources close to the couple say, Vanessa has finally had enough of Kobe’s cheating ways after sticking by him in 2003 following rape charges by a 19-year-old Colorado woman. Although Kobe admitted to his infidelity, he denied the allegations and the case was later settled out of court after the woman refused to testify.

Just weeks following the allegations, Vanessa was spotted wearing a $4 million purple diamond ring, said to be an apology gift.

In a joint statement the couple told The Insider’s Kevin Frazier,”We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season, the public respect our privacy during this most difficult time.”

With the NBA lockout ending and trade announcements in recent weeks, can’t say we saw this one coming. Hopefully this divorce will not get ugly for the sake of their two daughters, Natalia, 8, and Giana, 5.
