Rihanna called in to the ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest’ radio show this morning to reveal her plans for the next year, designing for Armani and why she decided to collaborate with Chris Brown.
In their very brief interview she says she won’t be touring this year but will work on some more movies, songs and music videos. She also says she enjoyed designing for Armani for their fall collection but wants to create her own designs eventually. For now, she says she wants people to trust her [fashion wise] before she designs her own collection instead of buying it because she says so.
On the question that’s been on everyone’s mind, when Ryan asked just what made her decide to collaborate on two singles with her abusive ex, Chris Brown, she says,
“I reached out to him for “Birthday Cake” and in return he asked me to be featured on “Turn Up The Music”. It made sense. He’s the hottest R&B artist in music right now…It’s just music. It’s innocent. We wanted to bring our fans together. There’s no reason to be divided.”
This is the first time the singer has spoken openly about working with Brown.
