What The Stars Wore: 2012 Costume Institute Gala

0

Every year the stars flock to the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, showing off their favorite designer’s latest designs, and, of course, this year was no different. Here’s what some of your favorite stars wore.

Beyonce was in attendance wearing this Givenchy sheer and embellished number with a purple feathery tail.

And here’s the back of the dress.

Not very flattering for the back but still one of the better dressed of the night.

Sister Solange Knowles opted for this yellow Rachel Roy dress.

She was also accompanied by the designer herself.

Rihanna in black and leather scale design Tom Ford dress. Scalelike designs seem to be catching on this season.

And here’s the back

Not the best dressed of the night but she pulls of the look really well. She has the height and the long legs to make a plain gown look elegant.

The beautiful Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana

Paula Patton is a pale purple Vera Wang gown.

Gwyneth Paltrow in a mini Prada backless number.

Suddenly I have the urge to serve her a meal.

Jessica Alba looked like a goddess with this golden Michael Kors gown.

Kristen Stewart stood out in this colorful and patch-work Balenciaga dress. The laced shoe didn’t help much either.

Sophia Vergara in Marchesa.
A bit much?

Rene Zellweger looked hot in this black sheer Emilio Pucci dress. Beautiful! One of my faves.

MaryKate Olsen was a bit scary looking in this black self designed gown.

The dark color also makes her tan stand out a bit. Too orange I suppose.

Actress Carey Mulligan in Prada. I’m not a fan of this scale-like gold and silver dress. Perhaps the lighting didn’t compliment the already very bright number.

Haven’t seen her in a while. Here’s Camilla Belle wearing Ralph Lauren. she always looks elegant no matter what she wears. Our modern day Aubrey Hepburn.
