Former Miss USA 1993, actress and model Kenya Moore is confirmed to be Sheree Whitfield‘s replacement on Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’.
In a recent interview Moore told Sister2Sister, “I’ve had an opportunity recently to be on a reality show. I feel like it’s almost like my duty to take the job because it’s the converse of what we’re seeing now.”
“I can say that it’s an already established franchise. I’m back and forth between Atlanta and L.A….primarily Atlanta. Wink, wink!”
I was a bit surprised that Kenya was chosen as Sheree’s replacement. Moore is an established model and actress. Typically the “housewives” are women trying to get out of their husband’s shadows (if they have one) in hopes of creating a brand, gaining further success and being presented with more opportunities.
Perhaps, Kenya is looking to revamp her career and hope to do so with the housewives franchise. Hopefully she’ll stair clear of the shark attack that is NeNe Leakes.
On another note, I was a pretty young but I remember Kenya winning the crown in 1993. It was such a great moment to witness an African American woman winning at that time. And even at 40 years old she’s still beautiful.
Are you looking forward to seeing what Kenya can bring to the cast?
