Tami Roman Apologizes For Being A Bully, Quits Twitter & ‘Basketball Wives’

By now you may have already seen or heard about the latest episode of VH1’s hit reality show, “Basketball Wives”. The episode showcased the bullying of Tami Roman against cast mate Kesha Nichols and withheld her purse because she felt disrespected. In order for Kesha to get her purse back she had to apologize to Tami and was moved to tears over the entire ordeal.

In the wake of the backlash against Tami and the network for her bullying antics, she’s issued this statement via VH1’s official blog.

I don’t apologize for it 2b accepted — that is ultimately the other person’s right to accept or deny it. My only responsibility is to acknowledge a mistake was made and own up to it. I apologize to my family, my REAL friends, my business colleagues, and my Project Girl ladies 4my recent behavior on BBW. I am NOT a bully as depicted on the show, but I did make poor decisions in handling my differences with my cast mate. I sincerely apologize to all of us, as well as to my castmate who was on the receiving end of my wrath.

I’m not sure what kind of apology that was but it doesn’t sound sincere or genuine if you ask me. She couldn’t even mention Kesha’s name. Quite frankly, that’s offensive. Maybe Tami doesn’t know the real definition of what a bully really is. As MrsGrapevine.com puts it, here’s the definition of what a bully really means.

Bully: a person who is habitually cruel or overbearing, especially to smaller or weaker people.

Bully: a blustering browbeating person; especially: one habitually cruel to others who are weaker

Bully: bullying is intentional aggressive behavior. It can take the form of physical or verbal harassment and involves an imbalance of power (someone who is physically bigger or more aggressive)

Well said.

Let’s get something straight, however, Tami Roman is crazy! For reference please check back to the very first season of MTV’s ‘The Real World’ . Tami was a cast mate and nearly drove her roommates crazy because of her confrontational overly-dramatic antics. This is nothing new. Furthermore, I think Tami Roman is delusional. She commands respect and “respectful honesty” while bad mouthing, belittling and disrespecting whom ever, wherever and for whatever reasons she deems necessary.

And yet again, the antics continue. Since further backlash and verbal attacks on twitter, Tami has deleted her Twitter and says she will not be returning for the fifth season of hit show ‘Basketball Wives’.

I actually think that was a smart decision on her part but please do yourself and us all a favor, make sure you really take those anger management classes seriously. So far, they don’t seem to be working or you haven’t put in the effort necessary to cure you of crazy! Good luck with that.
