Well that didn’t take long. Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has finally accepted that his marriage to Evelyn Lozada is over! After a month of denial and refusal to sign divorce papers originally filed by Evelyn, he has subsequently filed his own divorce papers stating that the marriage is “irretrievably broken”. Perhaps his recent pleas and his leg tattoo of Evelyn’s face wasn’t enough convince his wife to take him back.
The papers were filed yesterday in a Florida court, TMZ has learned. It is his official response to the docs Evelyn filed back on August 14. In the filing, Chad also reveals the two have a prenup and they’d agree to pay their own legal fees if the marriage had dissolved. Well, it did.
However, Evelyn’s August 14th filing requested Chad cover her legal fees considering his headbutting and abusive behavior was the cause of their marriage to end. Chad’s asking that the prenup be enforced.
Mr. Ochocinco was also officially charged with domestic violence in a Florida courtroom yesterday. Perhaps the same courtroom where he filed the divorce papers. The charge was perhaps the first clue his marriage was really over, which prompted him to file his own papers.
