Remember last year when Nicki Minaj cancelled her Summer Jam performance after Hot 97’s radio host Peter Rosenberg made some not so nice comments about how she went pop and her “Starships” single? Well, the beef may have just been settled.
Tuesday morning Nicki visited the popular New York radio station to hash out what exactly happened and why.
During the interview Nicki addressed Rosenberg’s comments and why she felt insulted. She stated, “I don’t know your resume. I never found you funny. I never found you entertaining. I never found you smart . I just found you annoying….To me it was like, who are you? You don’t have enough of a resume to make those comments.”
But she does admit maybe she should have done the show and not piss off the thousands of fans that were in attendance and the millions that were to stream the show online.“In hindsight I should have just done the show,” she adds. I wish I would have come out . I apologize [to the fans] for not doing the show.”
On whether she gets accused of any diva antics she says, “Is Wayne tough? I handle my business. And also…I speak up for myself. If I was not like this, so many people would have taken advantage of me….People try to make such a big deal out of when a woman stands up for herself. Why? I see people walk on egg shells around Wayne.”
