Over the weekend, T-Boz and Chilli, of TLC, took to the stage at the 2013 Mixtape Festival in Hershey, PA to perform some of their well known hits.
In their first performance as a duo since 2009, the ladies welcomed rapper Lil’ Mama while performing “No Scrubs” as a replacement for their late band mate Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Mama’s appearance, however, shouldn’t come as a surprise considering she just rapped filming for an original VH1 movie biopic, ‘Crazy Sexy Cool’, of the group. She also plays the late star in the film.
But don’t believe there will be any talks for her being a permanent replacement. Following the performance and Mama’s exit T-Boz announced, “You’re hearing it straight from the horse’s mouth, we said we will never replace her.” Chilli also added, “that was our sister and she still is our sister, we’ve also stated that we want to continue moving forward in order for us to continue to make new music for you guys, our fans.”
The two day event also featured boy boys Hanson, Boyz II Men, The Jonas Brothers and New Kids on the Block (NKOTB).
