In some unfortunate news this morning, an 8.9-magnitude earthquake hit northern Japan today triggering tsunamis that sent a wave filled with boats and houses toward land. Approximately 50 aftershocks of up to 7.0 magnitude could be felt following the massive earthquake. A tsunami wave about 23 feet high washed away homes, cars, boats and buildings.

The Hawaiian and the U.S. West Coast were immediately issued tsunami warnings following the 8.9 earthquake. Although the seems there are no immediate damage along the Hawaiian and U.S coastline the area is still on alert. More tsunami’s are expected to hit both the Hawaiian and U. S west coast as well as the Japanese coast throughout the remainder of the day.

The death poll has reached between 200-300 hundred and counting.
