Pharrell Williams is certainly having an exceptional year. The music producer is expected to perform at this year’s Oscars, following a nomination for his hit single, “Happy,” off the ‘Despicable Me 2’ soundtrack. The song has been nominated for best original song in a film.
Williams’ nomination comes on the heels of his other successes this year. He’s produced two major hits last year, Robin Thicke‘s “Blurred Lines” and Def Punk‘s “Get Lucky”, of which took home Grammy awards this year.
Williams will, in fact, perform “Happy” at the annual award ceremony, taking place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
The 86th Annual Academy Awards, hosted by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, airs March 2 on ABC.
