Anyone who has watched Basketball Wives knows not to say anything bad about Evelyn Lozada. Or if you do– you will be told or shown that you are a ‘non motha f*ckin’ factor’! Perhaps Wendy Williams didn’t watch that season.
On Monday’s episode, Wendy Williams discussed Evelyn Lozada’s new baby on her Hot Topics segment and her comments seemed more offensive than congratulatory. The outspoken talk show host announced, “Evelyn gave birth to a cash register-I mean a baby boy,” and later said, “I didn’t mean to make that cash register joke, but you see why it’s easy to be said.” while she repeatedly brought up Lozada’s fiance and his income. Williams continued to give Lozada advice and suggested she completely distance herself from the rest of the Basketball Wives cast and open up another Dulce boutique, but only in Beverly Hills. (Dulce was her shoe store in Miami) Wendy’s supposed ‘advice’ was rude and inappropriate, especially since Lozada just gave birth. On top of her advice, did anyone else notice she kept saying “Lozado”; I know Spanish people are rolling their eyes right now.
My girl Evelyn did not let Williams get away with her comments. Several hours ago, the 38-year old new mother tweeted, “You know @WendyWilliams, I never bother anyone. I even bought you a beautiful bouquet of flowers congratulating your broadway debut…” and then continued, “Since u want me 2 open Dulce n LA. Maybe ur man can come 2 that store & purchase shoes 4 another woman like he did @ my Miami store. Bloop!” , even mentioned the name of the shoes and ended the response quite nicely with “#NowPutThatOnHotTopics”.
We are well aware that Lozada’s fiance makes a ton of money and that Lozada has become more popular because of her relationships with athletes. However, she just gave birth to a baby this past weekend. I think we can all agree it was a bit too early for all the judgement. Let’s see if Wendy Williams continues the conversation and addresses ‘Lozado’s’ tweets.
