Actress and singer Zendaya Coleman may have just landed the right of Aaliyah in an upcoming VH1 biopic according to some recent reports.
Necole Bitchie is reporting that Coleman will in fact portray the late singer and actress in the film set to premiere sometime this fall.
The news outlet also reports that an official announcement will be made later in the week and the film is set to begin production in just a few weeks.
Zendaya, 17, is best known for her role in Destiny sitcom “Shake It Up” from 2010 until 2013. She’s also been a backup dancer to fellow Disney alum and singer Selena Gomez.
