So… wait one minute. They were still married all this time? Doesn’t it seem like a bit of a coincidence that just after JLo‘s split with boyfriend Casper Smart, her divorce from Anthony becomes final? Well, talk about cleaning house!
After nearly three years since their split, the couple’s divorce is now final.
According to E! News, “Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are officially divorced, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge having signed off on the paperwork this week, nearly three years after the singers first split up.”
The site also adds that although the couple’s divorce was finalized in March, due to court backlog, the data hadn’t been entered into the system until now.
The couple announced their separation in July of 2011 after sever years of marriage. At the time, in a joint statement the couple added, “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”
The couple will continue to share joint custody of their six year old twins, Max and Emme.
Anthony also ended his relationship with British heiress Chloe Green earlier this year.
