If you haven’t already heard by now, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are officially married! We’ve now got the first look at the couple’s very private August 23, 2014 ceremony and wedding photos.
The ceremony was attended by 20 of the couple’s closest family and friends at their Chateau Miraval estate in France.
Of the ceremony, “It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” Pitt, 50, and Jolie, 39, tell PEOPLE. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”
And the kids were all very much involved in the wedding planning and details. In fact, it’s very telling from the bride’s Versace wedding gown. Images of the kids’ artwork were sewed into the the beautiful dress and veil, thanks so to designer Luigi Massi.
“Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress,” says Jolie. “He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.”
As for the actor, he wore a suit from his closet and borrowed a tie from one of his sons.
And here’s the couple’s first kiss after saying their vows.
The couple’s wedding bans were designed by jeweler Robert Procop, who also designed Jolie’s engagement ring.
