Tink-Tell-The-Children-Moving-Bass

If you haven’t already heard of this young lady then get ready! Although she’s already garnered some success as an emerging Hip Hop artist, rapper and singer Tink captured many of our attention last week when producer and mentor Timbaland released a version of Rick Ross‘ single “Moving Bass” with the Chicago native and rapper Jay Z featured on the record. Let’s just say we’re impressed. So much so, Tink may be the kind of competition and sound from a female emcee we’ve longed for for quite some time. Although we think she has her own original sound, we can’t help but to think of her as the Lauryn Hill of the new millennium.

Upon news that Missouri officer Darren Wilson will not face indictment for shooting and killing unarmed St. Louis teen Michael Brown back in August, earlier in the week, Tink has released a more somber record titled “Tell The Children.” The record not only shows off her versatility and expressiveness but also sends a positive message to today’s youth.
