It is with great sadness that we report, reality star Ahmad “Real” Givens (right) has succumb to colon cancer. Givens died Friday night in his California home after a long battle with the disease.
It was his brother, Kamal “Chance” Givens, whom he co-starred with on VH1 reality series, ‘Real Chance of Love,’ who confirmed the news. He also confirmed to TMZ.com that following a fall in January Real’s condition worsened.
Chance also paid tribute to his brother by sharing a message with his fans on social media.
Upon sharing an image where he was visibly in tears of his brother’s passing, he writes, “By to my favorite guy in this whole world be in peace we love you forever bro I’ll see you one day soon we shall dance again in God’s kindom forever and ever bro words can’t describe my pain world pray for me!”
And just days ago, prior to his death, Real also shared a warm message to his brother.
He adds, “Love you to @stallionaireschance bro 4 Eva!”
It was back in 2013 when we learned of Givens’ condition. He was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, but, with chemotherapy and a series of treatment that follow his recovery looked promising.
Unfortunately by late 2014 the cancer returned. Givens was 34 years old. May he rest in peace.
We send our condolences to the Givens family.
