After Minaj, real name Onika Miraj, shared an image on her Instagram profile page of what seemed to be an engagement ring, from her rapper boyfriend of the last several months, engagement rumors went into over drive.
It also didn’t help that neither of the rappers denied the reports. In fact, they’ve been flaunting their romance all over social media since last December. It is for that exact reason we’re not convince that the two are, in deed, engaged to be married.
Needless to say, both musicians are known to play pranks and mislead the media. And that heart shaped diamond stunner, reported to be 15 carats and worth $500,000, wouldn’t exactly be considered an engagement ring.
The couple even enlisted one of their friends to confirm their engagement to the media. According to E! News, “Both Meek and Nicki have been spending amazing quality time together lately and have gotten extremely close these past few months,” the insider shared. “It may seem like it all is happening very quickly but Nicki and Meek are in this 100. They truly love each other.”
It was just last year when the rapstress and long time boyfriend turn rapper, Safaree Samuels, split after dating for more than a decade. Reports suggest that the two were also engaged prior to their drama-filled break up.
If the reports are true, congrats to the Hip-Hop power couple.
