If you watched Sunday night’s annual 2015 BET Awards then you may have been shocked to see a fight displayed backstage between pop star Rihanna and the network’s Director of Programming, Stephen Hill.
In fact, you were among the millions of viewers who were also taken aback by the dispute between the two.
Before taking to the stage to premiere a 30 second clip of her highly anticipated music video for hit single, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” the singer and Hill seemed to have been duking it out back stage, upon which, the self proclaimed “Bad Gal Riri” threw a stack of money hitting Hill in the face.
If you missed it, here’s a clip.
But many are still wondering, ‘what would make the singer attack Hill?’
Well, it’s not what you think. The two were just kidding around as part of the singer’s “BBHMM” single promotion.
In fact, Rihanna even shared the below image of herself and Hill adding, “@stephengranthill thank you for a fun night in celebration of black music!! #BETawards2015 #iHeartSmokeyRobinson.”
She later followed up with, “RIHunited in HQ #BBHMM #BETawards2015,” sharing a second photo.
The network has also released a statement to further dispute any rumors that the duo’s fight was a real one.
