Thousands came together, Saturday night (Sept. 27, 2015), to bring awareness to the millions of girls around the world who are denied an education.
The Global Citizens initiative was held in New York City’s Central Park, bringing together musicians, actors, actresses and a long list of public figures to speak out against gender inequality and poverty.
Beyonce, one of the charities biggest supporters was also on hand to perform and bringing awareness to the cause. But, it was First Lady Michelle Obama who captured our attention, best explaining why the #62MillionGirls Campaign was so important and required us to get involved.
You may watch and listen to the First Lady’s speech below.
