Co-parenting is never easy, but being amicable and acting in the best interest of your child is quite possible.

Just ask Tyrese Gibson. Over the weekend, the singer and actor shared this adorable image of himself and his eight year old daughter Shayla while dining out.

While it’s is no secret that Gibson and ex-wife, Norma Gibson (nee Mitchell), has had their issues in the past, Gibson captioned the image with this message.

It’s great to see that the former spouses now able to put their differences aside. In fact, it was just two years ago when the couple were in the news over a messy custody dispute. During a routine pick-up, Norma prevented Gibson from picking up their daughter. While the actor called police to her home, Norma decided to call celebrity news site TMZ to the scene to report on the shenanigans.

As for how the couple were able to work out their disputes? We’re not sure but happy they were are now amicable.

The couple were married for two years before calling it quits back in 2009.
