Yesterday, an apology, that some may think is long over due, was released via Youtube by singer Chris Brown for his assault on fellow songstress Rihanna back in February.
He went on to say until know his lawyers advised him not to speak out about the ordeal, he is sadden and ashamed that he lost control and wishes he could live those moments back.
He also says he’s spoken to his mother and pastor and insists “I was taught better than that”. He wanted to remind people that he himself grew up in a domestic violent home and has seen firsthand what uncontrolled rage can do.
He hopes others will learn from his mistake and adds, “I intend to live my life so that I am truly worthy of the term ‘role model.’ “
Do you think this is a sincere apology? From what I gathered I think it was. I don’t know everything about Chris’ personal life but the incident with Rihanna seems to be the only time he’s lost complete control ending in violence. I hope he’s truly learned from his mistake and never put his hand on a woman again.
