The 2011 MTV VMAs will be big this year for sure. The show is slated to bring out heavyweight performers including Adele (who slayed with single “In The Deep” this year) Chris Brown, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Beyonce and news just broke that ‘The Throne’ aka Jay Z and Kanye will also be joining in on the fun.
Luckily for MTV execs, the show, usually held in NYC, will be held in Los Angeles this year. Hurricane Irene would have made it nearly impossible to fly in this many stars with the major airline cancellations and delays. Thankfully the change in location became a vital tool is making sure the show goes on without a hitch.
With Kanye also returning to the show, its been two years since his outburst during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, let’s hope the controversy will be at an all time low. Then again…..other than the fashion and performances, the controversial moments are why we watch, right?! Hmm…think about it.
And….come to think of it Kanye’s ex, Amber Rose, will most likely be there as well. If you all remember she’s currently dating rapper Wiz Khalifa who is also up for ‘Best New Artist’. Interesting….
