Actor Sherman Hemsley Passes At 74

Some very sad news today. Actor Sherman Hemsley, best known for his portrayal of George Jefferson on the 1970’s sitcom ‘The Jeffersons’, has died.

Hemsley died in his El Paso, Texas home of what appears to be natural causes. He was discovered by his nurse who initially believed he had been asleep. Once she realized something was wrong she called for help and discovered he has passed.

He was 74 years old. May he rest in peace.
