Adele has given birth to a healthy baby boy. This is the first child for the 24-year-old singer and boyfriend Simon Konecki, who already has a 5 year old daughter from a previous relationship, confirms Us Weekly. Back in June Adele confirmed the news that she was expecting when she posted a message on her official website.
“I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” Adele wrote. “I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.”
“The pregnancy has had a big impact on her songwriting!” explains a close source. The insider also confirms that Adele’s new album will be lighter in tone than her breakup-themed disc 21, released in early 2011.
In fact, Adele has already recorded a new single “Skyfall”, the official James Bond theme song, prior to delivering her son. She’s ready to deliver new music and we can’t wait to her the new and lighter songs her pregnancy has inspired.
