With Adele‘s highly anticipated third album release on the horizon, it was no surprise that the British singer’s lead single, Hello, shot to the top of the charts. One thing Adele is really great at, is turning a heart breaking experience into a number 1 hit.
It also seems the Grammy Award winning artist’s new single has inspired thousands of men and women to make a mends with their former flames.
Dating website WhatsYourPrice.com surveyed members to discover if “Hello,” in fact, inspired them to make amends with their ex.
According to more than 41,000 respondents, the singer has encouraged 64 percent of women to contact their ex while only 17 percent of men felt compelled to do the same.
“Women are known to base things on feelings and emotion, and the instant gratification of texting an ex may seem fulfilling in the moment” said Brandon Wade, founder and CEO of WhatsYourPrice.com. “While men may be inspired by Adele’s song, they may not want to reopen old wounds by contacting an ex-girlfriend.”
Here were some of the results of the survey:
Women who responded yes: 64%
Women who responded no: 36%
Men who responded yes: 17%
Men who responded no: 83%
