Amber Rose is speaking out, for the first time, against being slut shamed by ex Kanye West, following her own comments made in regards to his much younger sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner dating fellow rapper Tyga.
To refresh your memory, during West’s Power 105. 1 radio show interview he stated, “I had to take 30 showers before I got with Kim.” [post his split with Amber]
“If Kim had first dated me when I wanted to be with her there wouldn’t be an Amber Rose,” he added.
During her sit down with Entertainment Tonight, Amber, however, acknowledge that while she could have minded her business when it came to Kylie, prompting the online feud with her big sis Khloe Kardashian, she didn’t take lightly to West’s comments.
“Yes, I could have totally minded my business when it came to her younger sister and her relationship. But me being a dancer at such a young age dealing with older men, [it] gave me the humility and knowledge to speak on such a subject,” she explained.
“I can understand why it came across the wrong way to her. I get it. But that’s a phone call she could have had with me. She didn’t have to Tweet 11 times and try to humiliate me when the only reason why these girls have careers is because their older sister had a little fun on tape,” she added, referencing Kim Kardashian’s 2003 sex tape with then boyfriend Ray J and the launch of her career as well as her family.
“Let’s be realistic … I never ever hated on that,” she continued. “I’m all for a woman making something out of nothing.”
As for West’s hurtful remarks and her scheduled Slut Walk (a movement for women to be sexy and wear whatever they’d like without fear of being harassed and sexually assaulted) she adds, “It’s important for me because I deal with it every day,” she said of slut shaming. “I deal with it via social media, people out on the street. I recently dealt with that with my ex saying he had to take 30 showers after he’d been with me.”
“We were happy when we were together, and now all of the sudden I’m getting slut shamed because we’re not together anymore, and it’s unfair,” she continued. “I feel like women deal with that constantly on a daily basis, and I’m sick of it. I’m here for my girls. We’re going to do the Amber Rose Slut Walk this summer, and it’s going to be awesome. I’m going to do it in L.A. this year, and hopefully New York, Chicago, Miami.”
Despite it all, Rose says she’s open to burying the hatchet and making up with the girls and her ex. In fact, they can all come to her Slut Walk she adds jokingly.
What are your thoughts sweethearts? Although we get the point Amber’s trying to make, we really wish she’d stop talking about Kanye, Kim and anyone in the Kardashian/Jenner crew.
