Just earlier this month, the singer announced she would be marrying her companion. However, in an official statement released by the singer, Aretha states,
“Regretfully, To Our Friends and Supporters: Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly. There will be no wedding at this time.”
“We will not comment on it any further because of the very personal and sensitive nature of it. We appreciate all of the many well wishes from friends.”
What?!! “Moving too fast?” But, haven’t they been together like…..forever!
Truth is, no one is actually sure when these two began dating. But Wilkerson is a long time friend and has been spotted escorting Franklin to many occasions since 2007.
Wedding jitters perhaps?!
