Rick Diamond/Getty ImagesAretha Franklin, 69, has become engaged to, longtime boyfriend, William “Willie” Wilkerson over the holidays according to the Associated Press.
In an official statement, the Grammy-award winning, singer says, she and Wilkerson are considering a summer wedding, perhaps in Miami Beach, Fla and want to follow the ceremony with a reception on a private yacht. She jokingly added, “No, I’m not pregnant.”
Ms. Franklin is also considering Vera Wang, Valentino and Donna Karen to design her dress.
This will be the third marriage for the singer, who has four children. As the saying goes, perhaps, the third time marks the charm? Congrats!
