As we’ve reported, Nelly and Ashanti are done. After a decade long on-off relationship, never really confirmed by either party, the two have parted ways, but why?
During a recent interview with Hot 97 radio station, Ashanti revealed a little of why it may have all ended. Although resistant to the question, the singer implies perhaps Nelly cheated referencing her current single “Never Should Have”. The song talks a bit about a woman resentful over a breakup where she invested time and hoping for a future with the relationship still coming to an end.
She also says she and Nelly have remained friends and talked about having children and lots of things when they were together. She implies, perhaps, that they wanted to build a future together.
