It took nearly two years but ‘Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada, 36, and NFL player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, 34, are official man and wife.The couple tied the knot in a lavished ceremony in front close family and friends in Miami, FL yesterday, July 4th.

Although the bride is an avid tweeter it was the groom who tweeted during the entire ceremony. When asked by several of his 3.5 million followers why he would be tweeting on his wedding day he made it clear it was an attempt to calm his nerves.
He wrote, “Using twitter as a diversion to keep me from getting nervous…Live tweeting from my wedding… should be a first I’m assuming, music is playing, can’t see my guest right now but they’re here… #nervous”
And just why did they choose July 4th as their wedding day a fan wanted to know. Ocho again tweeted, “Honestly, i did it so i’d never forget our anniversary”

The athlete also inviting a widow he met on twitter by the name of Cheryl. She tweeted her congrats confessing she had recently lost her husband of 30 years! Chad responded with an invite to the wedding.
