Bernie Mac Passes Away

Bernie Mac, born Bernard Jeffrey McCullough passed away early this morning due to complications from pneumonia, confirmed by his publicist, Danica Smith. The Chicago native has battled with sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs, for years. The disease went in to remission in 2005 and is said to be unrelated to his diagnosis and death caused by pneumonia. At only 50 years old the comedian and actor leaves behind a legacy like none other. He was unapologetic for his sometimes racy material and we loved him for it. His family wishes for their privacy to be respected at this time. My thoughts and prayers goes out to them. Rest in peace Bernie, your soul and energy will truly be missed.
