The annual BET Awards kicked off, Sunday night, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The show was hosted by the very funny comedian and actor Chris Rock and certainly did not disappoint.
The very talented Pharrell Williams opened the show, performing hit “Happy” and even surprised everyone by bringing out female emcee Missy Elliot.
Other highlights and performances includes, Chris Brown making a return to the stage post time behind bars, Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Wayne, Iggy Azalea and T.I., John Legend and Jhene Aiko performing together, Usher taking the stage to perform a medley of hits, Trey Songz and August Algina taking the stage together for the first time since ending their feud to perform “I Luv it.” The duo were also joined by crooner Chris Brown to perform the hit remix.
