Beyonce and Jay Z may not be up to date with foreign policy. If they had been they’d know Cuba and the United States are not allies.
Since last week, the couple have been in the communist country while celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary (April 4th).
Typically, it is against the law for U.S. citizens to travel to the communist nation if it’s purely for tourism. However, exceptions can be made if the persons can prove the trip is for the sole purpose of “cultural exchange” between communist countries. In other words, there must be some form of business transaction beneficial to both sides.

*Update*: TMZ.com reports the trip was a fully “Culturally” licensed trip for the couple. However, the details surrounding the trip or business related reasons for the trip was no disclosed.

I don’t see the problem… U.S is full of shit!! Cuba is very poor, and U.S.tourism could help there country and perhaps build a better relationship between the United States…. If this was Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, wonder if this would be headline news…??.

They were wrong. There’s and embargo. The Democrats just won back the Latino Vote. Cubans Americans are the ones forcing the embargo to continue. The rest of the world goes to Cuba (beautiful people, great beaches, horrible food), there is lots of money being pumped into the economy, but it doesn’t go anywhere but in Castro’s back pocket.
I swear they don’t have nothing else better to damn do.. Bey & Jay should be able to go celebrate their damn anniversary anywhere they damn well please!
