Following the reading of the not guilty verdict against George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin murder trial many celebrities and supports were stunned with disbelief.

At the start of her “Mrs. Carter World Tour” Tennessee show, Beyonce held a moment of silence for the dead teen. With only a few illuminating lights in the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, the singer began singing Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You,” the same song made famous by the late Whitney Houston. She then transitioned into her own single, “Halo”, kicking off her show.

Watch as the singer honors the teen following the not guilty verdict announcement.

Rest in peace Trayvon Martin.
