To her fans surprise, Beyonce sent out her first tweet Thursday morning announcing the launch of her new site to over 3 million followers. She wrote, “Hey World, It’s B! I’m excited to invite you to my new beyonce.com -we’ve been working hard, and it’s finally ready for you XO”.
The site; very well constructed, archives all four of Beyonce’s albums, photo shoots, behind the scenes footage, where fans can purchase tickets for upcoming shows, an invitation to join her Beyhive (the fan chosen name) and the link to her personal Tumblr . The Tumblr documents years of her travels and most intimate moments with her husband, Jay Z, family and friends in photos. She also has some never before seen images of her while pregnant with daughter, Blue Ivy.
The launch was also anticipated in time for her and Jay’s 4 year wedding anniversary, April 4th. In fact, she shares a photo where she kisses a hand written note, “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY”.

She also shares a few brief video clips. One in particular, discovering a tree while on vacation, not long after revealing to the world that she was pregnant, she says may be called “Blue Ivy”. The name, of course, is appropriate. It is the name she and Jay chose for their daughter.
