In some unfortunate news tonight, Big Boi, real name Antwan Patton, of rap duo OutKast was arrested in Miami today for drug possession with the intent to use.
TMZ reports, the rapper was arrested in Miami today on charges of drug possession. He was reportedly busted by customs and border patrol dogs as he was exiting a cruise ship. The controlled substances were listed as ecstasy pills, MDMA powder and Viagra. Although Viagra is not illegal, Big Boi did not have a prescription for the Viagra and was therefore charged with its possession along with illegal drugs ecstasy.
According to the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department, Patton was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at 1:35 PM ET and held on $16,000 bond, but was released later that afternoon.
