Another Hollywood couple, more baby news announcements! Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are expecting their first child together!
It was the actress who made the big announcement via her official website, Preserve, while sharing a recent image, shot by brother Eric Lively, of herself cradling a visible baby bump.
The duo, who met on the set of 2011’s Green Lantern and began dating shortly thereafter, wed in a secret ceremony in fall 2012.
Since marrying, they have both expressed their desire to have children, considering they both come from large families. Reynolds is one of four while Lively has four other siblings.
In fact, in her August 2014 Vogue spread Lively, perhaps giving us a hint, discussed the kind of father she thought Reynolds would be.
“He’s going to be a great father and leader and patriarch — he’s so meant to be all of those things,” she said of her actor hubby. “The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he’s the exact realized person that he should be. And so I get to share my life with the person he’s become, and we get to grow from there.”
The actor was previously married to actress Scarlett Johansson from 2008-2011. Ironically Johansson too just welcomed a baby girl, Rose, with fiance Romaine Dauriac.
This is the first child for both the actor and actress. Congratulations to the happy couple!
