Bobbi Kristina & Nick Gordon Officially Married!

Despite the criticism they faced after becoming engaged last year, Bobbi Kristina, 20, has married her unofficial adopted brother Nick Gordon, 24.

If you all remember, before Whitney Houston‘s death she mentored and was a maternal figure to Gordon who had been friends with Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kris, even moving the young man into their home.

However, Houston never officially adopted Gordon and he and Bobbi Kris soon developed a relationship not long after her passing nearly two years ago (Houston died in early 2012).

Although the two announced their engagement later that year, documented on reality show “The Houstons: On Our Own,” they would later split (SEE HERE) succumbing to the pressures and ridicule over their relationship (See HERE).

By July 2013, however, Bobbi Kristina had announced she and Nick were back together and still planned on getting married (SEE HERE).

In her announcement Bobbi Kris also took to her official Facebook page to defend their relationship. “Let me clear up something, we aren’t even real brother and sister nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him….Yes, my relationship may not be perfect. We will have rough patches, just like every other relationship,” she wrote at the time.

Fast forward to 2014 and the pair had not only reconciled, they are now man and wife.

It was Gordon who made the announcement sharing a photo of his and Bobbi Kris’s wedding bands adding, “@nickdgordon #HappilyMarried• SO#Inlove• if you didn’t get it the first time that is….”

Prior to exchanging vows Bobbi Kris also expressed her delight over her engagement ring. Gordon had been ridiculed, in the past, for presenting Kris with one of Houston’s diamond ring’s following her death. It seems that has also changed.
