There’s nothing more powerful than a bond between sisters. We can see how blood is thicker than water when it comes to the bond that is shared between Beyonce and Solange Knowles, and Ashanti and Shia Douglas. They can go through ups and downs…and even elevator drama caught on camera, but at the end of the day the love is still there holding everything in place.
While Beyonce and Solange were in attendance at the annual Made in America festival in Los Angeles this year, Ashanti and her younger sis Shia Douglas were in attendance at the On the Reggae tip concert at Pier 97 in New York City over the weekend. And, we just loved how relaxed, happy and fashionable the siblings looked.
We all know Queen Bey as the billionaire diva that has her hands in music, movies, clothing, fragrances and more. Her younger sister, Solange Knowles, has proven over the years that she can hold her own. Solange has dropped the title of being known as “Beyonce’s little sister”, but instead has grown into a successful singer that has her own record label and notable sound, modeling career, and serves as creative consultant for Puma. Solange has established herself successfully in her career to have her hands in a little bit of everything, much like big sister Bey.
Ashanti first stepped on the scene in 2002 and topped charts with her self titled album that had the streets blazing with her single, “Foolish”. Since then she has continued to top charts with hit singles and had has appeared in major television shows and movies. When the time was right, her younger sister, Shia, stepped out on her own and launched a clothing line earlier this year called Dymes Only. The line was debuted during New York Fashion Week and helped to establish Shia as an entrepreneur, no longer in the footsteps of her older sister.
At the end of the day nothing can come between sisterly love. These four women prove that they have an unbreakable bond like no other, and are all about empowering each other.
