Actress Charlize Theron has adopted a baby her rep confirms. In an official statement, her publicist tells the Associated Press, she is a “proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson.” No further details were released.
The baby boy was adopted from South Africa where Theron was born and raised. This is the first child for the 36 year-old actress who split from actor Stuart Townsend in 2010, after dating for nearly a decade. She recently revealed during and interview on ‘The Ellen Show’ about her desire to have children but has also said that marriage was “never something that was important,” according to People.com.
