To her fan’s surprise, although songstress Ciara, earned a number 1 single, earlier in the year, with hit single “Body Party”, off her fifth studio album, ‘Ciara’, the singer’s name was not announced during Friday night’s Grammy Award Nomination concert.
It was that very reason, the singer thought it would best to address her snub during the 56th Grammy Awards nomination ceremony. She took to social media to announce, “2 All My Fans Upset About Body Party Not being nominated..”
The tweet was accompanied by an attached message to further explain what happened and her nomination snub.
She wrote:
Well, that about sums it up.
Fellow songstress K. Michelle was also snubbed during Friday’s nomination ceremony, although, her debut album ‘Rebellious Soul’ performed well, debuting #2 on Billboard, and delivered a hit single, “V.S.O.P”
The singer tweeted,”Wow major Grammy snub. I guess a little black girl who truly speaks her mind was a little 2much huh? Gotta work harder next year”
And, it didn’t help to learn that her rival, Tamar Braxton, snagged three nominations.
Ouch!
