This wasn’t the news we were expecting this morning but music industry legend Clive Davis has come out as a bisexual in memoir “The Soundtrack of My Life”.

The book was released Tuesday morning shocking the music industry. Although rumors have surrounded Davis for some time now, it is the first time he has confirmed he has had sex with men since the 1970s during “the era of Studio 54,” according to Davis.

In fact, Davis, twice divorced and a father of three, reveals that during the course of his marriages he was confused and hadn’t repressed his emotions and sex with men “provided welcome relief”.

He also writes that he had been in a relationship with a man from 1990 to 2004, which caused some conflict between him and son Mitchell. Fortunately, they were eventually able to work things out.

Another revelation? Davis admits he’s been in a “strong monogamous relationship” with a man for the past seven years.

Did anyone see this coming? Perhaps the 80 year old thought he had nothing to lose by revealing the information.

What are your thoughts, should Clive have kept this a secret?
