In some unfortunate news, comedian Patrice O’Neal suffered a stroke last Wednesday, Oct. 19th.

The 41 year old, who is best known for his roast of actor Charlie Sheen, is in critical condition and it is unclear whether he’ll make a full recovery.

News of the comedian’s stroke broke when fellow comedian Jim Norton spoke of the incident on his satellite radio show, the ‘Opie and Anthony Show’.

“We don’t know how he is. We don’t know how he’s going to be,” said Norton. “I didn’t want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you.”

Norton added that he made the announcement on air because “we wanted it to come from us.”

According to a statement posted on Opie and Anthony’s Facebook page, although O”Neal’s family wishes their privacy be respected at this time his fans are more than welcomed to send the comic well wishes via LoveForPatrice@gmail.com.

Hope it makes a full recovery.
