Diddy is the new Prince. Remember when Prince changed his name to that symbol and no one knew what the heck to call him? Diddy wants to attain Prince’s status apparently.
Thirteen years after the change, the hip hop mogul has resorted to his moniker Puff Daddy. The move was made in conjunction to his “Big Homie” single trailer in anticipation for his forthcoming album release.
The mogul even shared his thoughts with his social media followers when he posted the below image and words….
But will it be an official change? According to Diddy it won’t be. Upon news he’d changed his name back, he took to Twitter to tweet this message,
“For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! 🙂 Be cool Man lol #MMM #BigHomie RT!!!!”
Diddy’s now “changed” his name, whether officially or unofficially, a total of four times. Puff Daddy aka Puffy, Puff, became P. Diddy, then Diddy and now back to Puff Daddy.
As for his “Big Homie” trailer, it showcases Diddy’s recording sessions with rappers French Montana and Rick Ross. check it out below.
Diddy’s last album, Last Train to Paris, was released back in 2010 to mixed reviews. His forthcoming album, “MMM,” is expected to be released sometime later this year.
We certainly can’t wait to hear the new single and album, can you?

I’m not even sure why this matters. I’m still going to call him Puffy or Diddy or Sean.
