Kanye West recently held his ‘Yeezus’ album release party and he had quite a bit to say about his forthcoming album release and it’s title.
At the release party Kanye began with, “We didn’t give a f*ck about what nobody said from the outside looking in. We just wanted to make the best product possible and this is just the beginning of an entire new mentality about how to make music.”
After a lengthy speech about working on the album with the assistant of Def Jam President Rick Rubin, Kanye then proclaims, “I wanna explain something about the title Yeezus. Simply put, West was my slave name and Yeezus is my god name.”
Although Kanye didn’t say that he is God, his album title may imply he is the chosen one, perhaps, that he is the Jesus of Hip Hop and will save its legacy?
Pretty arrogant and bold wouldn’t you say? But, it certainly wouldn’t be a Kanye West project if it wasn’t.
Kanye’s new album will be released on June 18th.

I don’t even listen to Kanye, I just put him on mute. Glad his music speaks for itself, cause he sure doesn’t represent his talent well. Sometimes I just want him to shut up. Shhhhh! *silence*
