Reality star, socialite, and model Draya Michele is known for her sex appeal, whom she has or hasn’t dated and who she’s currently beefing with on popular reality show, Basketball Wives : LA.
But that is not the only thing Michele is known for. Well, other than her on-off, on and off again, drama-filled relationship with football player Orlando Scandrick.
Draya is actually a smart business woman. From her Fine Ass Girls casual clothing line and boutique, to her hair extensions line, Tresses by Draya, and her Mint Swim bathing suit collection.
But here’s what Draya is doing that we really have to applaud her for. She’s just expanded her swimwear line to include plus size models.
Despite sharing the above image with a, seemingly, non-existent bathing suit bottom (it was actually just really tiny), Draya also shared a second image of plus size model, Nancy Ramirez.
Many people may have assumed that Draya was simply looking for attention, but we’re betting there’s much more to the ditsy antics the popular reality star puts on.
This isn’t the first time Draya has brought unnecessary attention to herself to better promote her businesses. In fact, it’s actually quite clever; a not so subtle marketing tactic. Some celebrities may shy away from attaching any drama and controversy to their brands and businesses but it’s clearly working in favor of the BBWLA alum.
Upon sharing the image of Ramirez she adds, “When your new model is fire like a mixtape … #MintSwim #MintMore meet @nancyrmodel.”
A day later, Draya followed up with a second image again adding, “Baddie @nancyrmodel wearing Mint Swim’s top seller “Fiona” is available up to size 3xl !!!!!! #MintSwim #MintMore @mintswimusa.”
And according to Nancy’s Instagram profile page, the LA based plus-size model of Nicaraguan decent has done some print, commercial and runway modeling and can be reached at nancy61981@yahoo.com.
