Eva Longoria Named Maxim Magazine’s Woman of the Year

It’s that time of year again, you know, when Maxim magazine announces their pick for 2014’s Woman of the Year.

And the title goes to actress Eva Longoria!

Of their choice the magazine reveals, “She was the sexiest suburbanite in history on Desperate Housewives, and now she’s a big shot producer, a savvy businesswoman, and our 2014 Woman of the Year. Is there anything Eva Longoria can’t do? (Hint: The answer is no.)”

And what did Eva have to say? “It’s especially awesome after how long it’s been since my first cover,” the former “Desperate Housewives” actress stated.

“I’ve had a beautiful relationship with Maxim over all these years (she was also the winner of the magazine’s Hot 100 list in both 2005 and 2006) … When someone sees the cover of this issue, they’re going to say, ‘¡Que rico!’,” adds the 38 year old.

But there is more to Eva than meets the eye. “One thing people are usually surprised about when they get to know me is how domestic I am. So when you see the sexy Maxim cover and then you put it against me in an apron with flour in my hair, it takes a moment to reconcile that image,” she says.

She’s also a recent graduate (receiving her Master’s) from California State university. On finding out she was chosen for Maxim’s cover while trying to complete her thesis she explained, “I was like, ‘My brain can’t jump that fast from a Maxim interview to a thesis!’.”

The magazine’s January/February issue will be available on newsstands January 17th.
