Evelyn Lozada Reveals She’s Having A Baby Boy

It’s a boy for Evelyn Lozada! The pregnant reality star has just confirmed the sex of her unborn child with Dodgers baseball player Carl Crawford.

Lozada, 37, confirmed the news to People saying, “Surprisingly, I found out when I had my first trimester screening.”

“I was about 13 weeks when they told me the sex! I was honestly praying for a boy. I have wanted to have a son for years,” says Lozada — whose also a mom to 20 year old model Shaniece Hairston.

In fact, it was her daughter who accompanied her when she discovered she would finally have a baby boy.

“We were both so happy. There are all girls on my side, so this will be our first boy. My family is over the moon,” Lozada says. ”Every time I go to the doctor, I have them check to make sure it’s a boy. I’m still in disbelief!”

“Shaniece is just happy that she can still be the princess of the family,” she adds jokingly. “Her brother is already her BFF in her head.”

Now seven months along in her pregnancy, the mom-to-be is currently planning a “diapers and diamonds” themed baby shower on Saturday, Feb. 8, in Los Angeles. The event will be hosted by Shaniece and Lozada’s ‘Basketball Wives’ costar and friend Shaunie O’Neal, and close friends Teresa Caldwell and Danika Berry.

On any potential baby names Lozada adds, “Carl and I have a few in mind, but haven’t decided yet.”

Last November Lozada revealed she was expecting while on vacation with Shaniece in Hawaii (See HERE). She would later confirm the Dodgers player was the father (See HERE).

The couple, whom are said to have dated a year, became engaged last December (See HERE).
