Is Evelyn Lozada to blame for the cancellation of ‘Basketball Wives’ season 5 reunion show? That’s the word on the street.

The taping of the reunion special was to occur earlier this month but sources close to the production has revealed that since Lozada would not participate, they were forced to cancel the show.

In fact, they’ve even decided on not rescheduling — cancelling the entire reunion special.

According to the source, Evelyn decided against the reunion show because she has outgrown the drama and didn’t want to focus on her split with ex-husband Chad Johnson — an ongoing topic during much of the season.

Without Evelyn, producers felt that between the remaining four cast mates, including Suzie Ketchum, Shaunie O’neal, Tasha Marbury, and Tami Roman, there wouldn’t be enough material for the hour long taping.

But don’t be too surprised. The show’s fifth season has also dwindling in ratings. Perhaps, another reason producers decided to ax the reunion show.

CK readers, are you disappointed that there won’t be a reunion for the show or did you see this coming. We’d love to hear your thoughts.
